Dozens of Tunisian immigrants arrive on the island of Lampedusa on New Year’s Eve 2021

A small boat with about 20 Tunisian immigrants started from Zarzis southeastern of Tunisia. It resulted in the arrival on the Italian coast on December 31st, 2020 at 8 pm a few hours before new year’s eve.

After they arrived at Lampedusa, The police were on the lookout for the group, which includes two women. Which they were taken to the hotspot in the Imbriacola district where they were subjected to the rapid anti-COVID swab.

Meanwhile, the non-governmental organization “Open Arms“, whose primary mission is to protect the lives of the most vulnerable in emergencies.

OA commented that the celebration night of the 2021 new year, was welcoming a total of about 170 different nationalities. Among them, 12 women and 6 children and they are all safe.
